History of the Golf Course
Superintendent Association
of New York
The Golf Course Superintendents Association of New York was started in 2020 after the consolidation of three existing associations, Central New York Golf Course Superintendents Association, Western New York GCSA and Finger Lakes GCSA. This process of consolidation was finally completed in June 2020 with the acceptance of the new GCSA of NY by-laws and vote for the first board of directors. With the help of Kevin Doyle and the GCSAA this vision of consolidation is complete. The association was formed for the purpose of promoting the welfare of the game of golf; the science and art of golf course management; the organizational and business effectiveness of the profession; and the professional image and well-being of its individual members through the timely and efficient use of present day educational, communications and management means.
Our intent is to continue serving our membership and the community in this manner.
