Assistant Superintendent Position
River Oaks is a privately owned golf club located in Grand Island NY designed by Desmond Muirhead in 1972. We are currently looking for a Spray Technician and an Irrigation Technician for the 2022 season and beyond.
Overview
The First Assistant will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent. The First Assistant will execute all daily tasks and help with grounds maintenance after duties.
Essential Functions
Ability to diagnose all irrigation problems to obtain a functioning system.
Ability to identify all turf diseases with the intent to cure.
Ability to lead a complete crew on all daily tasks.
Ability to manage a working budget with computer skill necessary.
Early hours are a must during the summer months.
Weekend mornings are a must.
Requirements
Golf Course experience preferred
NYS Pesticide license required.
First time assistants are welcome with the intent to learn.
