Organization
Corning Country Club is an 18 hole private club established in 1919 and located in the beautiful Finger lakes Region of Upstate NY. The club was the site of the LPGA Corning Classic from 1979-2009.
The club recently finished a complete renovation to all the fairways, added drainage to the greens, installed new cart paths, and had every tree on the course trimmed. Current projects include tee building and renovation, renovating collars and green surrounds, and the final stage of a major tree removal project.
Salary/Benefits

Requirements
- Two or Four year degree in Turfgrass Management or related field
- Have or be able to obtain NY Pesticide License in 90 days
- Self-motivated, detail orientated, positive attitude, passion for the turf industry, desire to learn, team player, and want to earn respect from staff
Responsibilities
- Assist Superintendent with staff, scheduling, agronomic plans, etc.
- Fertilizer and chemical applications
- Hand watering
- Irrigation schedules and repair
- Be willing to put in the hours needed during the summer months
- Manage and lead crew
- Communicate effectively to staff, members, and management
- Help build a positive team orientated atmosphere
- Be very instrumental in the planning, organization, and success of current projects
- Supervise planting and cultural practices involved with growing turfgrass, trees, and ornamental plants
- Help to incorporate safe work practices
