Format Overview:
- 2-Person Teams: Sign up by geographic region: West, Central, East, South
- 9-Hole Match Play: Handicaps will be used
- Minimum of 3 matches per team throughout the summer
- Chapter will schedule matchups with deadlines for completion
- Point System to determine standings (TBD based on number of teams)
- Regional Winners advance to the Chapter Championship at McConnellsville on October 2 - Championship includes two 9-hole matches as part of the day’s 18-hole event

- $50 per team ($25 per player)
- Both players must be GCSA of NY Members in good standing
- Select your preferred geographic region
- Regional champions earn FREE entry into the October 2 Championship Event at McConnellsville

WHY 9 HOLES?
We all work long days. Playing 18 holes can be tough after a loing day in the sun (especially for the old guys like Joe Lucas, Steve Kurta, and Ron Stepanek ). A 9-hole format makes it easier, more enjoyable — and of course, you’re welcome to play all 18 if you want — only the first 9 will count for scoring.
WHY NOT SINGLE ELIMINATION?
This league is about connecting members and having fun. By using a round-robin format, everyone gets to play multiple matches and meet more peers across the Chapter.
WHAT IF WE CAN'T FIND TIME TO PLAY OUR MATCH?
We get it — life gets busy. We’ll be flexible and fair in effort to find accommodations, yet will do our best to stick to the schedule and keep things moving.
WHY INCLUDE THE FINALS AS PART OF ANOTHER CHAPTER EVENT?
October 2 at McConnellsville is shaping up to be a big day with ~60 attendees. Hosting the finals during this event adds excitement and gives our finalists a chance to play in front of a great crowd!
WHAT IF A REGIONAL WINNER CAN'T MAKE OCTOBER 2ND?
Our strong preference is to have the winning teams compete that day. However, we’ll work with you to find a fair solution if scheduling conflicts arise.somthing good
