Blue Heron Hills established in 1987 is a semi-private 18-hole golf course located in Macedon NY.  Blue Heron Hills is looking for a hardworking, hands on, motivated individual to support our golf course operations and maintenance programs.  We are looking for a working Superintendent to continue the excellent course conditions we are accustomed to. 

Responsibilities of the golf course Superintendent include:

• ·        All phases of golf course maintenance and agronomic operations
• ·        Turf grass/plant material programs
• ·        Irrigation systems maintenance
• ·        Pesticide applications and related record keeping and compliance to regulatory requirements.
• ·        Provide technical, operational and safety training to ensure employees safety.
• ·        Recruit supervise and train grounds crew staff.
• ·        NYS pesticide application license
• ·        Valid drivers license
• ·        Working knowledge of golf facility construction principles, practices and methods

Educational requirements

• ·    2- or 4-year degree in agronomy, turf management or related field
• Experience requirements
• ·        Minimum of 3 years in the Golf Course management industry

Special requirements

• ·        NYS pesticide/chemical application license
• ·        Valid drivers license     
• ·        Sufficient knowledge of the game

Position and Compensation   

• ·        Package to be determined based on experience in the industry.
