Job description

Oak Hill Country Club is looking to fill the position of Assistant Equipment Mechanic. The Assistant Mechanic is a full-time, hourly employee under the direct supervision of the Head Equipment Mechanic and Manager of Golf Courses and Grounds. The Assistant Mechanic works together with the Head Mechanic to perform the necessary preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure that the fleet of golf course equipment is operating properly. This position would include but would not be limited to the following duties:

Duties: Responsible for the daily adjustment, grinding, and preventative maintenance of all walking reel mowers. Responsible for all repairs and maintenance of two cycle equipment and assist the head mechanic with other equipment repairs/ maintenance when needed.

Requirements: A working knowledge of equipment maintenance and lawn care/golf course equipment. Knowledge of this type of equipment is a plus. Individuals must have the ability to work independently and in all weather conditions. Must be a dependable individual that takes pride in their work. Previous golf course experience with maintaining, adjusting, and grinding of walk behind reel mowers is a plus.
