    Camillus Golf Club is an 18-hole semi-private facility on the west side of Syracuse established in 1962.  It is known as a “true shotmakers” course for the low handicappers, yet very forgiving for the high

    handicappers depending on their tee box selection.  The facility was recently ranked as the #12 best public courses to play to play in New York State by Golf Pass reviewers.  We offer a modern upscale clubhouse, which is just over 12,000 square feet and is in its 7th year of operation.  The amenities are modern and are tailored for our growing list of patrons who require an establishment that fits their golfing and social needs.

    Duties:

    • To properly integrate a new John Deere package that will be delivered in the spring and summer of 2024 with current equipment inventory in very equipment standing.
    • To oversee the overall maintenance of the golf course, clubhouse and surrounding property.
    • To properly manage the maintenance crew to ensure that the turfgrass, trees and ornamentals are maintained in the most efficient manner.
    • To oversee the operation of a Rainbird double row irrigation system with Stratus II operating software, radio hand-held remote in a separate self -standing building.
    • To work closely with the full-time mechanic to ensure that equipment, parts and mechanical needs are provided for depending on overall needs.
    • To collectively meet with the Owner/GM ( ONLY ) to formulate the hiring of the maintenance staff, chemical budget, capital improvements and increasing the presence of the club.

    Compensation & Requirements:

    • All applicants must have a commercial and certified applicators NYS license in the category of #3A or #3B
    • Prefer past Head Golf Course Superintendent or minimum of 3 years as First Assistant.  Must have strong desire to lead the crew and maintenance program.
    • Salary range of $72,000 -$75,000 with benefits and an immediate qualification of a simple IRA plan with a 3% match and will be commensurate depending on experience.
    • Club pays GCSAA National and Chapter dues.
