JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a full-time, year-round position. Daily staff management, planning of day-to-day golf course maintenance, tournament prep, staff training, and other management duties are the requirements of the position. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is willing to work overtime and weekends, when necessary, be a self-starter, and have a strong desire to learn and grow. The Golf Course Superintendent reports directly to ownership. Responsible for direct supervision of the G.C. Maintenance Crew.

CLUB DESCRIPTION: Located just 20 minutes east of Buffalo, Chestnut Hill is a family owned and operated golf course open to the public. Chestnut Hill Golf Course is a 18 hole facility. It features 6,653 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.0 and it has a slope rating of 119. Chestnut Hill golf course opened in 1963. Chestnut hill hosts many outings during the summer months.

Educational Requirements: Associate degree or higher in turf management, or related field preferred. A certificate from an accredited program and 3 years of work experience, or a similar combination is also acceptable.

*NYS Pesticide License required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

WORK EXPERIENCE: Experience in fertilizer and pesticide applications, irrigation repair and maintenance. Experience in all aspects of daily golf course maintenance including, but not limited to mowing, rolling, watering, daily golf course setup, and possess good communication skills.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Salary range $60,000 - $75,000+ depending on experience
