Shorewood Country Club is looking to fill the position of Equipment Technician/Mechanic. The position is a full time, salaried position under the direct supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent. The equipment technician works to perform the necessary preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure that the fleet of golf course equipment is operating properly.

DUTIES: Responsible for daily adjustments of cutting units, grinding of reels and bedknives as needed, as well as preventative maintenance of all course mowers, golf carts, and other course maintenance tools as needed. Keeps records of repairs and preventative maintenance for all equipment. The position would include but would not be limited to these duties.

REQUIREMENTS: A working knowledge of equipment maintenance of lawn care/golf course equipment. Knowledge of this type of equipment is a plus. Individuals must have the ability to work independently and in all weather conditions. Must be a dependable individual that take pride in their work. Previous golf course experience with working knowledge of course equipment is a plus. Must have current valid driver’s license.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities: Skilled in the use of a variety of tools, working knowledge of all golf course equipment preferred, skilled in welding and light metal fabrication, basic computer knowledge skills,ability to diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs and maintenance.
