Owasco Country Club is a championship quality 9-hole private golf club with 6 sets of tees to accommodate an 18 hole round that feels like no two holes play the same. Founded in 1901, the facility is located on West Lake Rd on 600 feet of Owasco Lakefront. The club is within easy driving distance from Syracuse, Auburn, Camillus, and the eastern Finger Lakes region. In addition to a private membership, the club offers tennis on two Har-Tru soft courts. The clubhouse offers a banquet facility that can accommodate up to 200+ people and a full service bar and grill.

The PGA Professional owner/operators of Kless Myers Golf Management have extensive experience in managing golf environments with multiple priorities and functions. Currently our company is entering our 14th successful season managing the total golf and grounds operation at the 18- hole Lyndon Golf Course, Fayetteville, NY and our 9th year of ownership at Sunset Ridge Golf Club, Marcellus, NY bringing that property out of foreclosure and back to status as one of the premiere semi-private courses in Central NY. From 2015 through 2017 we were contracted for the complete turn around and image overhaul of the under-performing golf operations of the three Monroe County Parks Golf Courses in Rochester NY (Durand Eastman, Churchville and Genesee Valley). In three seasons rounds and revenues increased by over 30% and the facilities now enjoy excellent standing in the Rochester Golf Community due to our efforts. Our staff currently consists of a team of PGA Professionals, Superintendents, and Chefs who all possess the knowledge, experience and ambition to help facilities perform their best in an ever more challenging golf landscape.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintains all grounds including the golf course and clubhouse at Owasco CC.
2. Schedules and performs all fertilizing and chemical applications.
3. Supervises mowing and maintenance of the golf course.
4. Supervises and develops employees in the maintenance department.
6. Informs management about present and future maintenance activities.
7. Coordinates scheduling of all personnel assigned.
8. Communicates frequently with the ownership to discuss activities, goals, plans, and member/customer feedback.
9. Prepares and manages annual budget plan for the golf course maintenance operations on an annual basis.
10. Oversees all repairs and scheduled maintenance of all golf course maintenance equipment.
11. Enforces a comprehensive safety program for employees of the maintenance department.
12. Supervises maintenance and operation of drainage, irrigation and other mechanical watering systems.
13. Develops chemical and fertilizing plans on an annual basis.
14. Ensures high quality playing conditions for members and guests of the property.
15. Prepares and maintains all record keeping for maintenance department.
16. Engages members and guests in a pleasant and respectful manner.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
· Pesticide Applicators License required.
· 2 or more years in Golf Course Maintenance Management (Asst. Supt or Supt.)
· Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements and record keeping as required by local, state, and federal laws.
· Team player willing to work with members, vendors, and guests.
· Must have solid communication and interpersonal skills.
· Must be organized and efficient with careful attention to detail.
· Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range $45,000 - $65,000 DOE
