Assistant Superintendent

About the Club: Bellevue Country Club is the premiere private golf club in Syracuse, N.Y. The club was founded in 1914 and was designed by legendary course architect Donald Ross. It has stood the test of time, and remains an iconic piece of history in the City of Syracuse.

Responsibilities: Assist the Superintendent and Senior Assistant with all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomic practices, including but not limited to: golf course setup, mowing, fertilizer and chemical applications, irrigation management and repair, tree removal, snow removal, golf course construction projects, and more.

Educational Requirements: 2 or 4 year degree or certificate in turf management program from an accredited university preferred.

Work Experience: 1 - 2 years of verifiable on course work experience.

Special Requirements: The ability to obtain a NY Pesticide Applicators license. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and strong work ethic, be a self starter and a team player, and have a strong desire to learn and grow within the organization. Attention to detail and a sense of urgency are extremely desirable traits of applicants.

Salary: DOE.
